Torsten Christ

MD

Torsten Christ has worked in the field of cardiac electrophysiology for 15 years and is head of the electrophysiology group at IEPT, UKE. His primary field of interest focuses on regulation of contractile force and excitability in human heart tissue (both adult and based on hiPSC-CM). Torsten has contributed to previous EU-funded collaboration (AF-TrainNet) and is interconnected with an extensive national and international network of collaborators ranging from clinicians (Clinic for Heart Surgery, UKE), over basic scientist (Dpt. of Physiology, University of Cambridge; Dpt. of Pharmacology, University of Szeged and Physiology Copenhagen) to pharmaceutical companies (Aventis, MSD, Xention).
