Last month, our project partners Dr. Alfonso Bueno-Orovio, Dr. Abdallah Hasaballa, and Dr. James Coleman from the University of Oxford took part in the 2025 Fickle Heart Workshop held in Sheffield.
The workshop brought together experts from across the field to discuss uncertainty quantification and digital twins, with a particular focus on their applications in cardiac electrophysiology, cardiac mechanics, and the cardiovascular system as a whole.
Both Dr. James Coleman and Dr. Abdallah Hasaballa showcased their research through poster presentations:
- Dr. James Coleman presented “Simulation-based Digital Twinning of Ventricular Electrophysiology in Healthy and Diseased Hearts.”
- Dr. Abdallah Hasaballa presented “Understanding the Progression of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.”
These contributions highlighted cutting-edge approaches to modeling and understanding heart function and disease progression through computational and data-driven methods.
