In May 2024 we met with patient organisations from the United Kingdom, Ireland and Finland and we are happy to announce that SMASH-HCM is now working with Cardiomyopathy UK.
Cardiomyopathy UK is a national charity for people affected by cardiomyopathy in the United Kingdom who works with cardiomyopathy patients and medical professionals. They aim to raise awareness for the disease and offer support and advice for those affected by it. To improve access to quality care they also promote and support clinical research that is being conducted in the field of cardiomyopathy.
As part of the SMASH-HCM project working on a decision support solution for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) management we created a patient survey aimed at people with HCM or people who are in close relation to someone who is, to learn and validate what functionalities they would like to see in a health app that intends to assist them in managing their disease. To help us gather that input, Cardiomyopathy UK will share our patient survey with their community of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy patients.
