Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), a common inherited heart disease, presents diverse risks but is currently diagnosed and treated as a single condition. The SMASH-HCM project aims to transform HCM management by developing a collaborative digital-twin platform, integrating advanced models and technologies.
Happening now, a groundbreaking forum on Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) research, in Tampere, Finland (also online).
Highlights of the event (24.1.2024):
12:00-12:15: Welcome and introduction by Prof Jari Hyttinen, Tampere University SMASH-HCM coordinator.
12:15-16:00: Engaging talks covering various aspects of HCM research, including new treatment paradigms, in-vitro models, in-silico simulation, computational modeling, and more.
16:00: Discussion and closing remarks.
Consecutive Days (25th-26th Jan) will be dedicated to internal SMASH-HCM project sessions for collaboration among 8 research partners, 3 hospitals, 3 SMEs, and a global health-technology corporation.
